The Jade is RPM's newest full-foam paddle, and it's built around one idea: spin that doesn't fade. The SICmatrix silicon-carbide face is rated Tier 1 durable roughness, so the bite you feel on day one is still there months in. This is the 14mm Elongated โ the fastest, most aggressive Jade: a 16.5-inch face for reach and leverage, a thinner core for quicker launch, and a 7.7 oz build that gets through the ball in a hurry.
Best For
Attack-first players who take the ball early and finish points. Baseline drives, speed-ups, counters and overheads all get a faster rebound off the 14mm core, and the elongated shape adds leverage on serves and returns. A strong singles paddle, and the pick for doubles players who want to hit through the court rather than reset it.
Skill Level
Intermediate to advanced. RPM classes the Jade at Professional Level, and the thinner core rewards clean contact โ a solid 3.5+ with a full swing will get the most from it. Players who want more dwell on resets should look at the 16mm Elongated; players who want more forgiveness should start with the Widebody.

Performance Notes
Next to the 16mm Elongated, the 14mm shares the same 112 swing weight but runs a touch lighter (7.7 vs 7.8 oz) with a slightly lower twist weight (6.0 vs 6.2) โ it doesn't swing any faster, but the thinner core gets the ball off the face sooner and feels livelier on counters and speed-ups. Next to the Jade 14mm Widebody, you trade forgiveness (6.0 twist weight vs 6.8) and a few points of hand speed (112 vs 104) for real reach and more put-away on full swings. If you want the quickest, most offensive Jade, this is it.

Is it tournament legal? Yes โ USAP approved under the PBCoR .43 standard (Professional Level), so you're cleared for USAP sanctioned play.
14mm or 16mm? 14mm gets the ball off the face faster with more pop on counters and speed-ups. 16mm adds dwell and stability for blocks, resets and controlled attacks. Same face and shape on both.
Elongated or Widebody? Elongated for reach, singles and leverage on drives. Widebody for doubles, hand speed and forgiveness. Same SICmatrix face and core on both.
How is the Jade different from the Q2? Both are RPM full-foam paddles. The Jade swaps in the SICmatrix silicon-carbide face for grit that lasts longer; the Q2 uses a carbon face that wears in the usual way.
When does it ship? This is a pre-order. The 14mm Elongated ships the fourth week of November from our Great Neck and Boca stores. If your order includes other in-stock items, we'll hold and ship everything together when the Jade lands.
