The Jade is RPM's newest full-foam paddle, and it's built around one idea: spin that doesn't fade. The SICmatrix silicon-carbide face is rated Tier 1 durable roughness, so the bite you feel on day one is still there months in. This is the 16mm Widebody — a full 8-inch face, a quick 107 swing weight, and the most stable feel in the Jade line.
Best For
Doubles players who do their damage at the kitchen line. The wide face puts more paddle where you actually make contact, and a 6.9 twist weight keeps off-center counters on line. The 16mm core gives blocks and resets a calmer, more controlled response.
Skill Level
Intermediate to advanced. RPM classes the Jade at Professional Level, but the 16mm Widebody is the most forgiving Jade you can buy — a 3.5 can pick it up and play well right away.

Performance Notes
Next to the 14mm Widebody, the 16mm adds a little swing weight (107 vs 104), mass and dwell — you give up a hair of hand speed for a more composed feel absorbing pace and driving through contact. Next to the Jade Elongated, you lose about half an inch of reach, which you'll notice on singles passes and overheads and almost nowhere else, and you gain a big jump in stability (6.9 vs 6.2 twist weight).
Quick Buying Summary
Get it if: you play mostly doubles and want long-lasting spin with maximum forgiveness and a controlled feel.
Skip it if: you want the extra reach and leverage of an elongated — take the Jade 16mm Elongated. Want it a touch more lively? Go 14mm.

FAQs
Is it tournament legal? Yes — USAP approved under the PBCoR .43 standard (Professional Level), so you're cleared for USAP sanctioned play.
14mm or 16mm? 14mm gets the ball off the face faster with more pop on counters and speed-ups. 16mm adds dwell and stability for blocks, resets and controlled attacks. Same face and shape on both.
How is the Jade different from the Q2? Both are RPM full-foam paddles. The Jade swaps in the SICmatrix silicon-carbide face for grit that lasts longer; the Q2 uses a carbon face that wears in the usual way.
When does it ship? This is a pre-order. The Jade ships the first–second week of November from our Great Neck and Boca stores. If your order includes other in-stock items, we'll hold and ship everything together when the Jade lands.
