Read this before you buy: UPA-A approved, NOT USAP approved. The HexGrit surface is too rough to pass USA Pickleball's roughness limit, and 11SIX24 has said they aren't making a USAP version. If your leagues or tournaments run USAP rules, this paddle is not legal for those events. Rec play, PPA amateur brackets and UPA-A events are fine. Not sure? Talk to us before you order β€” we'll point you at a USAP-legal option instead.

11SIX24 Hurache-X Power 2 16mm

The Hurache-X is the elongated shape in the Power 2 lineup β€” 16.5 inches of paddle with a 6-inch handle, built for players who want reach and leverage. Same Gen 4 full-foam floating core and HexGrit face as the rest of the line, stretched into a profile that rewards a long swing.

If you came from tennis, this is probably the shape you're looking for. Two-handed backhand players get room for both hands. Drivers get the extra leverage out at the tip.

Best For

  • Ex-tennis players and anyone with a long, committed swing
  • Two-handed backhands that need handle length
  • Drive-first games that live at the baseline
  • Rec, club, and UPA-A / PPA amateur play

Skill Level & Play Style

3.5 and up. Elongated shapes trade sweet spot for reach, and this one is no exception β€” the highest swing weight in the Power 2 family at 114–118. That's plow-through on drives and a bit more work on fast hands exchanges. If you're still finding the middle of the face consistently, the Vapor or Pegasus will treat you better.

Why Players Like It

  • Reach. 16.5" gets you to balls the widebody crowd waves at.
  • Leverage on drives. Highest swing weight of the three shapes.
  • 6" handle. Real estate for two hands.
  • Grit that lasts. Same HexGrit face as the rest of the line.

Performance Notes

Spin (third-party lab data). Pickleball Effect measured the Power 2 series at an average 2,113 RPM across ten serves on a Stalker Pro 3S radar β€” fourth-highest in their tested database. 11SIX24 publishes 2,335 RPM from their own independent testing. What matters more: testers reported the number barely moved after extended play.

Feel. Reviewers consistently describe the Hurache-X as the softest and least poppy of the three shapes, with noticeable whip through the head. Great for rolls and shaping. The trade is a smaller sweet spot and less stability than the Vapor or Pegasus.

Measured figures above are third-party lab data, not manufacturer claims. Individual paddles vary within the published ranges.

Quick Buying Summary

Buy it if: you want maximum reach and drive leverage, you play with a long swing or two hands, and your events don't require USAP certification.

Skip it if: you play USAP-sanctioned tournaments, you want the biggest sweet spot, or you're primarily a fast-hands net player.

How It Compares

Hurache-X vs. the other Power 2 shapes. The Vapor is the hybrid β€” 16.25", swing weight 108–112, the balanced default. The Pegasus is widebody β€” 15.8" Γ— 8.12", swing weight 105–110, the most forgiving. The Hurache-X is the longest and heaviest-swinging of the three.

Hurache-X vs. Six Zero Coral Hybrid 16mm ($200). Different lanes on purpose. The Coral is a calmer, more forgiving hybrid; the Hurache-X trades that forgiveness for reach and bite. Confirm current certification on either before a sanctioned event.

The Tech

HexGrit Surface β€” 11SIX24's patent-pending face texture, developed in-house. Built for spin that survives rather than spin that peaks out of the wrapper and fades. It's also the reason the paddle can't clear USAP's roughness limit.

Gen 4 Floating Core β€” full-foam construction that responds to swing input. Soft at low speed, progressively louder as you load up.

Carbon Fiber Face β€” Toray-grade carbon under the HexGrit layer.

FAQs

Is the Hurache-X Power 2 USAP approved?
No. UPA-A certification only. 11SIX24 has stated they don't plan to release a USAP version, because HexGrit exceeds USAP's surface roughness limit. If your tournament or league follows USAP equipment rules, you can't use this paddle there.

Where can I actually use it?
Rec play, club play, leagues that don't enforce USAP equipment rules, and UPA-A sanctioned events including PPA amateur brackets. Ask your event organizer if you're unsure.

Is the handle long enough for a two-handed backhand?
Yes β€” 6 inches, the longest in the Power 2 line.

How does it compare to the Vapor for hand speed?
The Vapor is quicker. The Hurache-X swings heavier (114–118 vs 108–112), which helps on drives and costs you a little at the net.

Is it 14mm or 16mm?
16mm. The whole Power 2 platform is one 16mm core.

Can I try it first?
Yes β€” our 30-day play-test guarantee covers it.
