The Paddle

Perseus is JOOLA's elongated flagship, and the Pro V is the build they refined for power, speed and consistency. The shape's whole trick is those rounded corners: they keep the sweet spot centered on a long face, which is why it never feels tip-heavy on a stretched volley. What's new this generation is KineticFrame — a throat that flexes and recovers through impact instead of staying rigid — working alongside the Propulsion core and a Hyperfoam Edge Wall that keeps the frame honest when you catch the ball off-center.

The measured numbers explain the feel. A 116 swing weight is average for the class — controlled plow-through without the heavy, laboring swing — and 6.04 twist weight is typical for an elongated head with a centered sweet spot. The carbon face turned in 2,170 RPM, high enough that rolls dip and serves kick off the bounce. The 16mm build is the stable, softer, more consistent one; 14mm trades that for a snappier feel, more pop on counters and a lighter swing.

Who It's For

✓ Players who catch the ball off-center more than they'd like — the Hyperfoam Edge Wall braces the frame so mishits stay playable.
✓ Grinders who play long third-shot rallies — roughly 7.9–8.1 oz with a 116 swing weight is a build you can swing all day without your arm quitting on you.
! Not the best fit if: hand speed is your whole game. An elongated head turns over slower at the net than a standard shape — the reach you gain costs you maneuverability in a fast exchange, and no grip or core choice fixes that.
