The Paddle
Ben Johns' shape, current generation. What actually makes the Perseus work is where the sweet spot sits: the rounded upper corners hold it in the center of a long face, so the extra length reads as reach rather than a longer trip to find the middle. The Pro V adds KineticFrame at the throat — it flexes and recovers through impact, which is what smooths out the launch angle on drives and takes the sting out of a hard-hit reset. Under the face is the Propulsion core, and a Hyperfoam Edge Wall wraps the rim for stability when contact drifts.
Play it and it's controlled power, not a cannon. The core produces pop without demanding a full swing, and the 116 swing weight keeps it quick enough to survive a hands battle. The textured carbon face grabs — 2,170 RPM in testing, high for the category. In 16mm you get the thicker, more stable build: softer feel, better consistency when you're resetting under pressure. In 14mm it snaps back faster, with more pop on counters and a lighter swing for aggressive net play.
