The Paddle
The Pro IV is the generation of Perseus that built the shape's reputation. Its headline tech is Tech Flex – Power: foam sits outside the frame but under the edge guard, feeding the 16mm Propulsion core to widen the sweet spot and add pop while keeping enough dwell to actually hold the ball. A Hyper-Foam Edge Wall props up that sweet spot and fine-tunes the balance, the face is textured carbon fiber for long-lasting spin, and the handle runs a full 5.5" for two-handed backhands.
On court it reads power-first all-court. Lab testing scored it 9.4 for serve and drive power and 8.6 firepower, with a 117.3 swing weight that gives you real plow-through and a 6.31 twist weight that keeps mishits alive. Spin came in lower at 4.9 — this paddle wins with weight behind the ball, not shape. Choose 16mm for the extra dwell and steadier resets; choose 14mm for the snappier feel, more pop on counters and a lighter swing for aggressive net play.
