The Selkirk LABS Project Boomstik is a pure power paddle — built to bring the boom and keep it. Selkirk's engineers took the punch players loved in the SLK ERA Power and added roughly 14% more exit speed, then built it on a foam core durable enough that they say they still haven't been able to test it to failure. This is the Calypso limited edition, 16mm Elongated.
Best for
Players who want to win the speed-up battle. Rec play, open play, and leagues where USAP certification isn't required. If your game is drives, serves, and overpowering people at the kitchen, the Boomstik is built for you.
Skill level
Intermediate to advanced. Power this raw rewards players who can already control their swing — it'll punish lazy resets as easily as it punishes your opponent.

Performance notes
The Elongated is the reach-and-plow-through build: mass sits further forward for heavier put-aways, with a 118 swing weight that loads up on drives and serves at the cost of a touch of maneuverability. The 5.8″ handle gives you room for a two-handed backhand. Paired with the 16mm BoomCore and the InfiniGrit face, you get the Boomstik's signature pop plus enough bite to keep drives dipping — Selkirk rates the surface for spin up to ~2,000 RPM. The Calypso colorway is cosmetic only; it plays identically to the standard LABS Black/Red.

Think of the Boomstik and the Selkirk OMNI as two ends of the same family — and Calypso is one of the few colorways you can get both in. The Boomstik is all-out power for players who don't need tournament certification. The OMNI takes that foam-core tech and balances it into a USAP-compliance-built all-court paddle. Pick Boomstik for raw boom; pick OMNI if you compete.

- InfiniGrit surface: a durable textured face that holds spin roughly 3× longer than raw carbon.

- MOI Tuning System: semi-permanent perimeter weights, pre-installed for a max sweet spot and balanced feel. (Leaving them in is recommended — removing can damage the MOI parts, and it's the reason the retail version isn't USAP-legal.)

FAQs
Is the Boomstik tournament legal? No — the retail Boomstik with the MOI Tuning System is not USAP-approved. Selkirk offers a separate UPA-approved Boomstik Elongated (without MOI) by request for specific pro events only. For USAP play, choose the Selkirk OMNI.
Is the Calypso a different paddle? No. It's the standard Boomstik in a limited-edition colorway — identical core, face, specs and performance.
Does Calypso come in Widebody? Selkirk makes one, but we only brought in the Elongated. If you want the Widebody, the standard Boomstik Widebody is in stock.
Can I remove the MOI weights? They're semi-permanent and pre-installed for optimal performance — Selkirk warns that removing them can damage the MOI parts. Leave them in.
How much spin? Selkirk rates the InfiniGrit face up to ~2,000 RPM.
