The Q2 platform in a hybrid shape. RPM took the full-foam core and CarbonBite surface that made the Q2 their best-selling line and put it in a profile that sits between the elongated and the widebody β some of the reach, more of the forgiveness.
The flat top squares off the head, pushing a little more mass toward the tip. You feel it as plow-through on drives.

Flat Top or Curve Top?
Same core, same surface, same 16MM build β the difference is the head profile. The flat top squares off the tip, pushing a little more mass toward the top of the paddle for added plow-through and reach. The curve top rounds it off, keeping the paddle marginally quicker and more maneuverable. Neither is better; it's feel. If you can, demo both.

Spinwave Takeaway
The Q2 is one of the most powerful foam paddles on the market, and the hybrid shape makes it a lot more accessible than the elongated. The flat top keeps more of the elongated's punch β a good landing spot if you're coming down from a 16.5" paddle.
