The Cannon, Rebuilt
The original Cannon is the paddle that put Luzz on a lot of people's radar — loud, fast, and cheap enough that it felt like a mistake. The Cannon2 M1 is the follow-up to the Pro Cannon, and Luzz spent the upgrade on the two things that actually wear out: the face and the core.
You still get the same explosive hit off the middle. What's new is that it should still hit that way in month six. The Aero-9966™ coating shields the T700 carbon face and bonds down into the fibers, and an MOI side-wing system adds stabilizing mass at the edges so the paddle stops twisting on balls you catch off-center.
At $119 with dual USAP and UPA-A certification, this is one of the least expensive tournament-legal power paddles we stock.

Skill Level
Intermediate to advanced. Luzz builds this one for competitive players, and the elongated shape backs that up — more reach and leverage, a longer and narrower sweet spot, less forgiveness than a wide-body. If you're brand new and still finding the middle of the face, start with a hybrid. If you know where the sweet spot is and you want to hit through the ball, this is the right shape.

Performance Notes
Power. This is the loud end of the Luzz range. Drives, counters, and overheads come off fast without much effort, which is exactly what you want if your game is built on pressure — and exactly what you have to manage if it isn't.
Spin. Gritty T700 face. Topspin serves dip, third-shot drives bite. The Aero-9966™ treatment exists specifically so that bite doesn't sand off.
Stability. 6.4 twist weight is solid for a paddle at this weight and price. Off-center contact stays on line instead of rolling the face open.
Feel. At 122 swing weight it's maneuverable — quick enough for hands battles at the kitchen without feeling weightless. Not a soft paddle. Resets and drop shots take deliberate hands.

A hardened coating over the T700 carbon face that also penetrates into the fibers to strengthen the face-to-core bond. Built to resist the surface wear and fiber breakdown that turn a gritty paddle smooth.
High-density weights set into both sides of the frame. Widens the horizontal sweet spot and keeps the paddle from twisting in your hand on off-center contact and fast volleys.
The reinforced core and the Aero-9966™ encapsulation work together to resist softening, so the paddle keeps its crisp response through extended play rather than going mushy.
FAQs
Is it USAP approved?
Yes. Dual-certified by both USAP and UPA-A, so it's legal for PPA, APP, and MLP events as well as USAP-sanctioned tournaments. You don't have to check which sanctioning body your event runs under.
How is this different from the original Cannon?
Same family feel, different durability story. The Cannon2 M1 adds the Aero-9966™ face treatment and the MOI side-wing weighting. It's the successor to the Pro Cannon.
Does it come with a cover?
No. It ships in a premium gift box, but no paddle cover is included. We sell covers separately.
What's the grip size?
4.13" circumference, 5.52" long. That's on the slim side — good for two-handed backhands and for players coming over from tennis. Add an overgrip if you want it thicker.
What's the warranty?
12 months from Luzz. If something goes wrong, contact us first and we'll run the claim as the dealer.
Can I return it if it isn't right?
Yes — 30 days from your order date, in original condition and packaging. Add Play-Test Coverage at checkout and returns are free with a prepaid label.
