The Paddle
The Project Coyote is Proton's Gen 3 build put on a diet: a 15mm elongated that comes in around 7.7 oz stock — genuinely light for a paddle that hits this hard. The foam-reinforced perimeter keeps the outer face alive so off-center balls still go somewhere useful, and the refined throat taper gives you a clean two-handed backhand without your top hand fighting a hard edge.
A ~115–117 swing weight on a 16.5" shape means you're not late in a hands battle, and the power is honest — the ball comes off hot, but you can aim it. It's also dual-stamped, USA Pickleball and UPA-A, so it's legal in both brackets.
The Tiger Style build wraps it in an orange-and-black tiger-stripe edge guard that picks up the orange topo lines and the Proton collar. Because the Coyote starts light, the build weight lands it in a more planted spot instead of turning it into a club.
