The Paddle

The Kosmos is JOOLA's first hybrid shape — a genuine blend of the elongated Perseus and the wider Scorpeus, landing at 16.3" x 7.7". It's the signature shape of pro Federico Staksrud, built so he wouldn't have to switch paddles between singles (where he wants Perseus-style reach) and doubles (where he wants Scorpeus-style forgiveness).

A flat top (instead of the curved tops on most hybrids) trades a little maneuverability for extra stability, and foam injected around the edges expands the sweet spot further. Add JOOLA's KineticFrame throat flex and you get a paddle that drives from the baseline, counters at the kitchen, and transitions between the two without feeling like it's compromising on either end.

Who It's For

✓ All-court players (3.5+) who play both formats — one paddle for driving baseline in singles and hand battles in doubles, without a shape compromise either way.
✓ Players who generate their own power and want a more forgiving, stable platform than a pure elongated shape without giving up real reach.
✓ Players torn between two shapes — if you've gone back and forth on Perseus vs. Scorpeus, Kosmos is built specifically to end that debate.
! Not the best fit if: you want maximum specialization — a dedicated Perseus gives more raw reach, and a dedicated Scorpeus gives more forgiveness. Kosmos is the middle ground, not the extreme of either.
