CRBN³ TruFoam Genesis — Elongated, All-Foam, All Business
This is the paddle that kicked off the foam era. No honeycomb, no plastic core — just a 100% TruFoam core under a raw T700 carbon face, in CRBN's classic 16.5" elongated shape. It's the heaviest Genesis in the lineup, which means it drives through the ball instead of getting pushed around. If you like to take big cuts from the baseline and still want touch at the kitchen, start here.
USAP + UPA-A approved. Free CRBN neoprene cover included.
Best For
- Players who want reach and a bit of extra mass behind their drives and serves
- Spin-first players — topspin drives, rolls, and heavy third shots
- Anyone tired of honeycomb paddles going dead after a few months
- Two-handed backhand players who want a standard 5.25" handle on an elongated face
Skill Level / Play Style
Intermediate to advanced (3.5+). The foam feel is muted and plush at first — give it a few sessions. Once you start swinging with intent, the core stores and releases energy and the power shows up. Play style: aggressive all-court, with a lean toward power and spin.
Why Players Like It
- No core crush. The foam core doesn't break down like honeycomb, so it plays the same in month six as it did on day one.
- No break-in period. Feels right from the first game.
- Spin that lasts. The core flexes and holds the ball longer, so spin comes from dwell time — not just surface grit that wears off.
- Controlled power. More pop than CRBN's X Series, but it still keeps balls in the court.
- Quiet. Muted sound — your neighbors at the courts will thank you.

Performance Notes
Power: Not a pop-off-the-face paddle — it's a swing-and-it-goes paddle. Big drives and serves get rewarded; soft blocks stay soft.
Spin: The headline. Dwell time off the foam lets you shape the ball, and it doesn't fade as the face wears.
Control: Dinks and resets feel cushioned and predictable. The muted feel takes a session or two to trust.
Maneuverability: Swing weight sits on the heavier side, so it's stable in hand battles but not the fastest paddle at the net. Want quicker hands? Look at the Genesis 2 square shape.
Quick Buying Summary
Buy it if you want an elongated foam paddle with real heft, serious spin, and a core that won't die on you. Skip it if you want instant, crunchy pop — that's the Barrage.

TruFoam™ Gen-4 Technology
CRBN spent about 18 months and 200+ prototypes building a tournament-legal paddle with a fully foam core. Because foam density can be tuned, CRBN locked every Genesis at 14mm — no thickness guessing.
The face is raw T700 carbon over a fiberglass layer for strength, grit, and touch.
FAQs
