The Paddle

The Magnus Pro IV is Tyson McGuffin's shape, and it does something unusual: elongated face, short handle. You get 16.5" of length and 7.5" of width for reach and leverage, but the handle is only 5" — which drops the balance point and keeps the swing quick instead of top-heavy the way most elongated paddles feel.

JOOLA's patent-pending TechFlex Power (TFP) redistributes mass through the frame for stability and honest feedback on contact, and the sweet spot is genuinely larger than a typical elongated face — off-center balls still go roughly where you aimed. It's built for aggressive baseliners and quick counterstrikers: drive it, rip the forehand, hold the line.

! Not the best fit if: you hit a two-handed backhand. Five inches of handle is tight for two hands — your top hand ends up crowding the throat, and you'll feel it on every backhand drive. Look at a 5.25" or 5.5" handle instead.
